Female character here in this painting is with her own companionship although she is alone. The wisdom and knowledge of nature and life has always enhanced the life of woman who can balance the family, society and herself. That’s the reason female are regarded as soul of the family in the eastern culture. The Mithila illustration on the border of sari describes the daily life of woman and her significant role in the family where she fulfills all the task of the family and she gives her time to herself too. The two swans are the symbol of   knowledge and wisdom, she loves and receives from nature as she is very close to it  and the lotus flower as the symbol of purity and enlightment, she always carry in her day-to-day life.
